Sunmoon.co – Terms of Service

1. About Sunmoon

Sunmoon.co ("Sunmoon," "we," "us," "our") operates the website sunmoon.co and related mobile or desktop applications (collectively, the "Service"). The Service helps people discover wellness‑focused cities, connect with communities, and book purpose‑aligned accommodations.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not accept the Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Account

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must provide accurate, current information, including a recent, clear photo of your face (no avatars, group shots, objects, shirtless or sexual photos, or images that are not you).
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. User‑Generated Content

  1. Licence to Sunmoon. When you submit or upload any content—text, images, reviews, event listings, feedback, or other materials—you grant Sunmoon a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty‑free, transferable, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform, and display that content in any media now known or later developed.
  2. Acceptable Content. You will not post illegal, offensive, defamatory, infringing, hateful, or sexually explicit material. Sunmoon may remove content or suspend accounts at its sole discretion.
  3. Your Responsibility. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you provide and that posting it does not violate any third‑party rights.

4. Community & Safety

  • Treat all members with respect and inclusivity.
  • No spam, self‑promotion, or commercial advertising without prior written permission from Sunmoon.
  • In‑person meet‑ups arranged through the Service must be held in public places; you attend entirely at your own risk.
  • Organisers are solely responsible for complying with local laws, including any permits, insurance, or health‑and‑safety requirements.

5. Information Accuracy & No Professional Advice

The Service aggregates crowdsourced and third‑party data that may be inaccurate or outdated. Always verify critical information (e.g., visas, local regulations, health and safety) before acting on it. Sunmoon provides no immigration, legal, medical, or professional advice.

6. Subscription Fees & Billing

6.1 Current Fees. The applicable subscription fee ("Fee") for your plan is the price shown during checkout, plus any applicable taxes.

6.2 Right to Change Fees. We may change the Fee for any renewal term, including for existing subscribers, by giving you at least 30 days' prior notice ("Fee‑Change Notice").

6.3 How We Notify You. We will send the Fee‑Change Notice to the e‑mail address linked to your account and may also display it in your dashboard.

6.4 Effective Date. The new Fee will apply on the first renewal date following the end of the notice period.

6.5 Your Options. If you do not agree to the new Fee, you may cancel the subscription at any time before the renewal date through your account settings. Continued use of the Service after the renewal date constitutes acceptance of the new Fee.

6.6 No Grandfathering. Unless expressly stated, we do not guarantee that any Fee will remain fixed for the duration of your subscription.

6.7 Refunds. Fees are non‑refundable except where required by law or as stated on the checkout page.

7. Intellectual Property

All Service content and software, other than user‑generated content, is the property of Sunmoon or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works except as expressly allowed by law.

8. Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas to improve the Service, you grant Sunmoon the unrestricted right to use and incorporate that feedback without any obligation to you.

9. Analytics & Personalisation

We collect usage information—including IP address, approximate location, device type, and on‑site actions—to improve, secure, and personalise the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." SUNMOON.CO MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON‑INFRINGEMENT, DATA ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sunmoon.co and its officers, directors, employees, or agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service—even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Sunmoon's total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the total fees you paid Sunmoon in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sunmoon.co from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your content, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your misuse of the Service.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to Sunmoon or other users. Sections 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 15 survive termination.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and you submit to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts for any dispute arising under or in connection with the Service.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When material changes occur, we will provide at least 7 days' notice (e.g., via the Site banner or e‑mail). Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
